The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

@cynicaloldgit loves him some Guler!

He’s mustard. Madrid have criminally underused him; I have no hesitation whatsoever in saying that he’s potentially just as good as Wirtz, and he wouldn’t cost anywhere near as much.

I haven’t watched him enough to render an opinion…I’ll take your word for it!

Szob’s has something to say about that…

Arda is actually pointing Dom towards the exit, as he’s taking Dom’s place in the team next season.

Szob being like, ā€œwhat you gonna do little man?ā€

Abel Xavier the last player to go between us? Ben Doak linked with the bitters

Price is Ā£100m but we’ll knock off Ā£25m for every trophy they’ve won since the lad was born.

I would be very surprised if Delap who it seems to be wanted by half the league goes there.

I can see Doak being a possibility.

Swap with Branthwaite?

If I’m honest if he wasn’t at Everton he would be top of my CB list.

Naaah. Wirtz is a Liverpool player. They can keep Guler.

Too right. The story has moved on quickly since my speculative post.

Most people are probably aware of these already but I’ll put the latest BBC Goss round-up here anyway.

Germany midfielder Florian Wirtz, 22, would prefer to move to Liverpool instead of Bayern Munich if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen this summer. (Athletic - subscription required)

I see that Bayern think the same as me, despite Mitoma’s age.

Bayern Munich believe Brighton and Japan winger Kaoru Mitoma, 28, is a viable alternative to Wirtz. (Sky Germany)

I wouldn’t object to Doak to Everton, but if he’s got any sense he would wait to see if there are any better alternatives. As for Branthwaite, I think Utd would be more willing to pay the exorbitant price that Everton would want.

Everton have held talks with Ipswich and England Under-21 forward Liam Delap, 22, over a summer move and are also interested in Liverpool and Scotland winger Ben Doak, 19. (Guardian)

This one worries me. It’s easy to imagine this happening. Apart from South American players dreaming of playing for RM or Barca, Macca might think he has more chance of winning the CL with them than with us.

Real Madrid view Liverpool and Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister as the natural successor to Croatia international Luka Modric, 39, who is leaving the Bernabeu this summer. (Fichajes in Spanish)

I see that Villa’s Martinez is being linked with Utd. If that happens then Villa would be a great destination for Kelleher.

In other words they aren’t even going to enquire about him because they know he ain’t for sale but they think it makes them look big to be linked to our player. This is why, incidentally, I think it’s crucial we are cunts to them about not letting TAA go early for the tin pot cup; they need to know we will make things hard for them at every step of the way so they look elsewhere.

I wonder if Chelsea’s interest is behind the ā€˜little incident’ in training that led to the player being left out the match day squad?

Has always looked lazy to me. Probably fails the ā€˜no dicks’ policy also

As well as the ā€œsmall issueā€ that occurred in training, he was also sent off last month. Seems more suited to Chelsea than us. It’s not as if he’s a prolific goal scorer either. Only 10 this season.

I see that Forest are interested in Quansah. Maybe we could loan him to them as he might not get enough first team starts next season. It would good to have an Academy product become a first team regular.

Nottingham Forest are considering a move for Liverpool’s 22-year-old English defender Jarell Quansah. (Football Insider)

I don’t know how we would be in a position to loan or sell Quansah. It would leave us with VVD and two injury prone options.
