The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

Harvey Davies signed a new contract this week, perhaps he may be third choice this season?

Looks like Drazen Petrovic’s brother.

But with Ali’s injury record, there would be a fair chance that our 3rd choice will get some games in the League Cup and possibly FA Cup.

Could be. We’ll see. I don’t mind buying some talented players for the future (even if they don’t end up making it here, if you can’t get a player you look to get a profit one day), I’m really pleased how we do in our GK department. Hopefully it continues like that.

A 20 year old from the Hungarian league with 50 odd first team appearances to his name is not going to be the number two choice keeper for us.

With a pretty strong 2nd option, the need for a strong 3rd option might be lower. All the games you mention, Mamardashvili might need to be offered them to buy the idea to be here at least next season as 2nd option. Jaros is not a young player anymore, after winning a double in Austria and then a season of basically no football, it’s not for him good to have the same again. He needs football and development. Since we don’t have an ā€œAdrianā€ type of 3rd option, I guess it will be one of these young guys. Decision could be made in pre-season.

Jaros takes up a homegrown slot. Don’t see him getting on loan.

For what it’s worth Mama explicitly said he’d be playing at Liverpool next season.

Believe it when you see it and all that, but that’s straight out the horses mouth.

Giorgi Mamardashvili: ā€œI’m not considering another loan move. I will spend next season at Liverpool.ā€

ā€œI’ll go to Liverpool and give my all, just like I did at Valencia. I’ll work hard every single day, training with Alisson will help me.ā€

Yeah, and then we’ll see how it all develops with Ali’s contract until 2026 and club option until 2027.

Report is the new kid will start with the u21s.

Makes sense…Harvey Davies just signed a new deal.

My gut feeling is Jaros goes out on loan next season and our first team keepers will be Ali, Mamar, and Davies (in that order).

I agree with this.

  1. Ali
  2. Dash
  3. Davies

U-21 Pesci

Jaros goes on loan.

Jaros is very good but he needs to play. Third choice is not ideal for him at this stage. Arguably he has a good loan and comes back in 1-2 years to be the number 2 to Mamardashvili, or probably more likely, we end up selling him. Good luck to all of them.

He probably will when Allison misses his standard 15 games.

Tiresome , innit ?

Please let’s not put Joe Pesci in goal.

Size matters.

Which players could be leaving?

Harvey Elliott revealed this week that he is wary of ā€œwasting years of my careerā€, so he’ll weigh up his options this summer.

Tyler Morton is desperate to play after a loan move was blocked last season, while Nat Phillips has strong interest from West Bromwich Albion and a number of other Championship clubs after his temporary spell at Derby County ended.

Liverpool will also listen to bids for Kostas Tsimikas, Nunez and Chiesa and are expected to sanction a loan move for third-choice goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros, who sacrificed a year of football to provide cover last season. The 23-year-old is expected to leave for a top-flight club in Europe and currently has various options in France and the Netherlands to consider.
