Would rather we overpayed for Doucoure (or Lavia) than settled with Endo.

A CB in before this window closes and a midfielder in January .That will cover Matip and Thiago who will both be leaving next summer.
If Salah also leaves next summer we’ll need decent money to bring in someone while Doak is getting up to speed and also to help with the CB/defensive rebuild.

You know we are going to sign him, right? I think it’s the most likely deal before the end of the summer window.
Cheaped out on Endo and Gravenberch then in the hope one of them will prove to be better than they’ve shown so far in their career.
Not the worst strategy in lieu of something more considered, I suppose. Hopefully not something we keep repeating.
It isn’t unfair really, just realistic.
Hope he proves me wrong. I’m not going to change my evaluation of him just because we being linked with signing him.
