If they really wanted him, they wouldn’t have waited until hours before the window closes to make that kind of bid. It’s nonsense.
Make that bid a month ago, and Salah is on his way to Saudi Arabia and we’re using that money to fund his replacement (and other high quality targets).

I’m not sure why some of you feel the need to build them up into such mythical monsters, when the reality is that they were unconvincing for much of the start of the last season and it looked like Arsenal were going to walk the league easily. Every single team in the league has similar issues in their own right.
The same allegedly happened to City in 2019-20. Or Arsenal last season. We are genuinely not unique in that regard.
