He’s been linked for some time, but I think it’s bullshit. We have enough players that can play through the middle. We don’t need any forwards at the moment. We do need a right sided winger to replace Mo should he leave. That needs to be the focus.

If Nunez wasn’t improving, then one could create a story where we battle to take Osimhen and Napoli take Nunez in some sort of deal with certain money involved (which rarely happens). But obviously Nunez is improving and in a good place right now. A lot of football to be played until next summer, we’ll see if we need a Salah replacement in 2024 or the largest part of the budget goes into defence and a #6.
