I don’t think that there is any doubt that shiteh are guilty of false accounting, which is a criminal offence under Section 17 of the Theft Act 1968.
As to why there hasn’t been a prosecution, I don’t know.
Perhaps there are concerns about the quality of the proofs, i.e. the leaked emails, and whether they would be permitted as evidence in a criminal trial?
I believe @Kopstar to be best placed to give an opinion on this.
What I would say is that without the leaked emails, there is no conclusive evidence of false accounting.
Yeah thats what I thought just invite him back to build his fitness as a favour to him as an ex player but at the same time, if he still shows some fire and able to score goals, then a short term deal. If not, just a favour to him, would not cost us alot in terms of money I supposed just for him to join us from training etc?
Absolutely true. I’m hard on DS because he was a magic player. Every second he wasn’t on the pitch hurt us because he could do anything and score from anywhere. We don’t miss Keita as we’ve never really seen what he can do. OK, the odd game maybe but he’s never dazzled as he might after a good run in the starting 11.
Overly harsh. He’s had some nice games for us. Scored our fastest ever Premier League goal and scored an absolute belter in the game we got to lift the title after. Same with Ox, suffers with injuries but scored some memorable goals for us and doesn’t deserve the disrespect he gets because of his injuries.
These lads don’t want to be injured. I get that it’s frustrating but it’s not like they’re Diouf or Balotelli or any number of other players who’ve come here and stolen a living by not actually trying.
He had his fair share of games where he was ineffective because he drifted out of the box.
Like Rab says, Keita has had some nice games for us. I remember with the Barca games a couple of years ago coming in the midst of his good run of form, and many fans then thinking we would struggle to beat Barca without him.
When Keita plays we concede fewer and score more in games that when he doesn’t feature. I’m sure that isn’t coincidence.
Sturridge is a no for me. That ship has sailed. When fit and healthy, the best England striker of his time for me, better than Kane. An exceptional player. But we had him for years and always seemed to be be nursing him from one injury to the next. Yes, when on the pitch, exciting times, and he could conjure stuff from nowhere. But those days are gone. Good luck Daniel son, and thanks for the memories. Someone whacking one in against Chelsea recently, like he did, would have been nice, so I understand the temptation, but nope, not now!
As for our squad, we are short up front and susceptible to injury. One more needed, to start to evolve and plan for the future. I think it’s coming, but the right player probably wasn’t available so we exercised patience.
If need be, I could see us switching to 4-2-3-1 at times this season. If injuries come and we can’t quite play three strikers to keep 4-3-3 functioning highly, the players are there for 4-2-3-1.
We are going to be fine this season. Better than OK. We are winning the league and CL.
Or 3 at the back? I know probably never going to happen, but will be funny if after a season of CB crises, we are able to field 3 CBs because we have a striker crises now. It might actually work because our creativity comes from our FBs although Fab’s role might reduce in this case.
Practically though what you suggested is a possibility and more chances of happening if we have the likes of Keita, Ox, Elliott and Taki fit and available.
