Liverpool in talks over Lutsharel Geertruida loan transfer
The 25-year-old Netherlands international is currently on a season-long loan deal at Sunderland from RB Leipzig.
Slot has questions to answer for sanctioning this
Chelsea want him now, while we are open to get a deal done now for the summer.
Thereās irony in us being down to bare bones and wanting him for the summer, while Chelsea need two dressing rooms to fit in all of their players, yet they want him now.
Chelsea is a pyramid scheme though.
Our position may be fine then in this case
If Geertruida joins, would that be on loan from Leipzig? I donāt think he is the first choice at Sunderland, right?
Any Dutch players weāre not linked with these days?
Waiting for us to finally sign Frenkie de Jong.

Yeah, itās a loan - and nothing says āLiverpool are having an amazing seasonā like them signing a defender on loan at the very end of the winter transfer window.

perhaps some of our fringe players should change their names to stand a better chance of more playing timeā¦
Wataru Van Endo?
Enrico de Chiesa?
Calviin Van Ramsay?
to name a fewā¦
Kurt de Jong
Is Geertruida a straight loan, or with a buy option? If itās the former, itās a band aid designed to get through the season, and then the club can reassess defensive reinforcements in the summer. And Iām sure Slot would be happy to get the help from a familiar face.
Oh, and thanks, Jurgen.
So far theyāre reporting a loan, no mention of a buy option. Sunderland donāt have one, either.
Checklist for a new player:
A)Is he Dutch?
B) If not, why isnāt he Dutch?
C) can we get him a Dutch passport anyway?
D) Are the Musical Youth his favourite band?
Slot demanded no one in his first season, we also knew that he has had little decisive making in transfers, he deserves many sticks but he is not related to transfers.

Is there any acceptable answer to this?
Mainly a right-back, he can also play as a centre-back and defensive midfielder.
Seems to make sense as a cover option
Good move. If Sunderland need to replace him then loan them one of the youngsters we have just signed. Win, win.
I really donāt understand this. If he is on loan at Sunderland how on earth can we get him?
Same as Hull got Koumas, who was at Birmingham.
