Ah right. Thanks for the explanation. ![]()
What else is there to explain?
A loan gets cancelled if different sides agree and another comes to agreement.
So weād need Sunderland to agree to cancel the loan.
Given heās played 17 times for them this season I really donāt understand why they would be willing let them go.
He hasnāt been a regular starter for them, Mukiele and Hume have mostly played ahead of him at that right side of defence.
Letās get one of them then.
Mukiele? Please no.

Dumfries, Geertruida, Mukiele. Is this the Roy Hodgson era?

Given itās a loan to provide cover for 3/4 months, Iām gonna say no.
Weāll see, hopefully turns out to be at least useful for a few months when called upon.
Some loans or short term transfers with that as a goal havenāt been.
Not say no?
Trai Humeā¦cover Conorās position with his international teammate ![]()
I can guarantee if we donāt go for him now we will lose out to Chelsea again as since the Ngumoha transfer they were pretty pissed off about it and do their utmost to deny us, they donāt care about stockpiling players.
Buying a bunch of young players for potential profit is what Chelsea do. This 100% fits the profile.
Rhys Williams?
Not good enough for that level, heāll be 25 soon and out of contract at the end of the season. Sunderland might opt not to sign a direct replacement for Geertruida. Theyāre doing some other work.
Loan Sunderland Calvin Ramsey, because he aināt getting a game here.
Probably wouldnāt get one there either
Nah, mate.
Heās definitely going to Old Trafford

You imagine the negotiations are primarily about how much Sunderland require to agree to terminate their deal with RBL for the player. For them its not too dissimilar to negotiating a sale of a fringe player
From a quick peruse of the Sunderland forums it seems like Geertruida is thought of quite highly and they would be upset about losing him.
74 pages on their forum vs a few mentions on the Unreliable here. I would say that he has a decent chance of being a very solid loan for us.
Because, as it stands, being solid defensively would probably be a step up for us.
