Always thought Geertruida was a bit of a no brainer when Slot arrived in 2024. Good all rounder and only one year left on his contract at that time. I like the look of him.

Agreed completely. But not sure the timing was right as we still had TAA.
Was a key player for Slot in the inverted RB role as well as a DM. At RBL he often played as a LB and as a LCDā¦

We would need to get Leipzig to cancel his loan to Sunderland then negotiate with leipzig and player to agree a 6 month loan.
Mot likely Sunderland will try to reject it, or at least demand a fairly major compensation amount for breaking the contract

The reason why Iām not surprised is that they left another transfer to be completed very late in the window. I accept that there might be mitigating circumstances but this is stuff Iād expect from Man Unitedās hierarchy two years ago, not from the ādefendingā champions.
