Nice little snippet on Mane, that we won’t pay the price Wolves are asking as he’s still too raw. If that is something we are doing in concert with Man Utd it’s a good thing, to the degree it tries to put some sanity back into the market.
The price being touted for unproven talent is ridiculous. I’d like to see some solidarity from the buying clubs to agree on a fee, and then both make their pitch to the selling club and the player. Might be naive, as clubs are all trying to outdo each other where they can.
I am not slagging him off as such, but noting that under Slot we have merely used second string, far less reserves and acedemy players. This has been fundamentally different from under Klopp, for good or ill. Mentioning Slot is kind of necessary because the manager matching or not matching reserves is also a major part of my argument.
For a young player, the path to the Liverpool squad is far longer and so if he gets an offer for actual first team play, in my mind he would make an incredibly odd choice if he did not go for it as playing for Molde will certainly make him a better player than if he continues in our academy with no path for better matching.
Yeah, I also want a lot of things…

I’m not sure whether this is down to circumstance though rather than personal preference as I thought that Arne had a lot of youngsters play for him in Holland?
I think under Jurgen we had a slightly stronger pool of younger players from which to pull from than we do currently and a higher number of injuries that resulted in him needing to bring players into the team.
Last season we had far fewer injuries and a new coach who wanted to use the match time to drill the players in the way he wanted them to play.
This season we have had a number of new players join, many of whom have needed game time to get up to speed with the league. We have had more injuries, but I feel he has been rotating players more than he did last season (I might be wrong though, I haven’t looked at the stats).
Arne does feel like a much more conservative, risk averse figure though and that probably feeds through into his selections as much as his tactics.
It’s a done deal. 750,000 euros and 4 year contract.
Roll on 10pm…

What the hell is that hybrid thing, by the way?
No buttons where the shirt might crack under pressure?

German Sky saying we want to sign Diomande and bring Quansah back
That’s probably that Plettenberg dude who hasn’t got anything regarding Liverpool right since Mane signed for Bayern?
If I remember he buggered up on Grav.
Probably not worth listening to if it’s incomings.
I’m not sure what’s happened to the Legster, but he’s given up on posting bollocks rumours from the BBC for some reason.
Anyway, here you go: Something about Inter and Juve wanting Ali (33).
Plus, we want Bastoni (26).
That Bastoni “link” has been there for ages and probably will even when he’s retired.
Amazing, considering he plays in Virgil’s position.
I wouldn’t mind buying Joao Gomez from Wolves he reminds me of Jota.
He’s a decent player, but he’s a central midfielder.
Maybe you’re thinking of another Gomes, because Wolves have a few.

I wouldn’t buy a single player who plays well against us, unless they are replicating it in other games.
You can blame @CanuckoLFC for that. He took all the fun out of it by correctly pointing out that most of the rumours that I posted from the BBC gossip page were from banned sources. Or at least, in the infalliable opinion of @ISMF, “very unreliable and unwanted sources”.
So I can’t mention the one about Kephren Thuram but I can copy and paste this one:
Liverpool have switched their attentions to Diomande as they do not believe they will be able to sign France winger Michael Olise from Bayern Munich, who want to extend the 24-year-old’s contract beyond 2029. (Sky Sports Germany)
Apparently, Leipzig want 70 million GBP according to Football Insider. Which isn’t on the list but probably should be.
You’re right I meant Rodrigo. Did they have a joao and he moved elsewhere?
Joao Gomes is that central midfielder who’s there for the last couple of years, as is Angel Gomes, who joined them in January on loan from Marseille.
Rodrigo Gomes is the winger/forward (don’t even know what’s his best position) they brought off the bench and who scored.
How confusing in that case I do like both Gomes and Gomez.
