Allison has missed 82 games through injury so far for us with another potentially 6 this season too thatās 88 games. If Covid hadnāt arrived when it did he would have missed the remaining 11 games of that season too.
Totally agree Kelleher is better with the ball at his feet, not as good at the shot stopping stuff or taking crosses, but very calm on the ball.
Ironically he was probably calmer than Alisson with the ball at his feet.
Latest, 9 sounds a little too many but I assume that may include some squad names, as itās behind a paywall. If we are turning over that many Iād expect the manager also to be turned over
Liverpool have nine players linked with summer exits, including Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, 27, who is attracting interest from Europe, while England defender Joe Gomez, 28, remains a target for Crystal Palace, Brighton and AC Milan . (Telegraph - subscription required)
Allison hasnāt taken crosses constantly for 2 years now its the thing that irks me the ones he should catch he punches away.
I think in a game against Arsenal on one of their 1st corners he came out and controlled the situation, but yes hasnāt done it as much as he did previously, is it different tactics from the coach?
That is a bitch I have had with keepers for a few years now.Keepers I know reckon a lot of balls punched can be held, obviously not all, but a lot!
That was one element of Kelleherās game that I appreciated.
I agree it does, so I donāt see it all happening but it wouldnāt be the first time FSG have ripped up a squad (although different circumstances) and I can sort of see how they can get there.
We know Mo and Andy are leaving, Konate has still not yet signed a new contract. The article flag links to MacAllister & Gomez who have struggled to deliver this season. We saw Alisson linked to Juve yesterday, Chiesa also to Italy a few weekās back. Thatās already 7. Some folks on here a month or so ago were talking about rumours on Gakpo leaving and Iām not sure whether I have seen links for Virgil going but it wouldnāt be the biggest surprise if he did go - particularly if we donāt get CL football next season and clubs come in for him. Then there is also Endo, if he is fit by the summer.
Of course, that leaves us with a hell of a lot of shopping to do as we donāt really have that many options ready to step up from the academy and are already effectively with out Hugo for much of next season.
The 9 on the list in that article are some different names: Salah, Robertson, Jones, Elliott, Chiesa, Ramsay, Williams, Gomez and Mac Allister.
That doesnāt mean weāll buy a lot of players, but I could see us get maybe 5 in (and thatās including Jacquet).
Of course, Iād much rather Jones stays than Endo. The central midfield question becomes potentially a trick one, because if both go, we could be too light in there.
And some other names might also leave, like Tsimikas. Question remains what happens with Bajcetic and Danns.
I forgot Jones was linked to a move away back in January. If he stays that list looks far more manageable than what it could have been.
Have I missed something - Is this guy a done deal? Everyone talking like it is?
It is.
Yes. Pretty much. There may be one further medical needed at the end of the season but the deal is otherwise done.
Ah yesā¦I remember now. We signed him and he got injured in his clubs next game.
Standard.
Thank you for getting this thread back on track with proper unreliable rumours.
Someone mentioned Marco Senesi earlier in this thread?
David Ornstein posted that Tottenham is the leading contender to sign him subject to Premier League survival.

Curtis and Mac Allister may be leaving. Endo I would imagine will also go. Midfield, attack and defence all needs work. Next season will be pain wonāt it?
