The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 4)

He was muck last night

Bold (yes Bold, not Bild) a Danish paper linking us with Danish midfielder Froholdt who plays for Porto.

No idea if they’re reliable for Danish players

Mane was a right footer who played on the right for us for a season.

:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Sounds interesting. Historically we have a decent record when signing Danes.

Admittedly, there is a 6 month black hole in my memory around 2010, so that period doesn’t exist

Go back another 20 years and you have Torben Piechnik already digging the hole where Poulson would fall into.

Yeah, bought into his own hype and didn’t adjust to what PSG were doing to counter him defensively

Take Istvan Kozma and David Speedie into that hole (yes I know they’re not Danes)

Poulsen had a really nice pass against Wolves I seem to remember.

See, worth every penny.

As noted above, Diomande can play on both sides. I see his pace and ability to beat a man with seeming ease as being invaluable to opening it all up. Perhaps in time we would see Rio and Diomande emerge as our two wingers?

It’s hard to say at this point.

Depending on budget, my hope is we can sign two wingers this summer, and maybe spread the age out a bit too?

Wouldn’t be the first random newspaper link to be true.

They generally have a better hit rate.

I like Bold a lot. He absolutely rinses defenders and has a refreshing scent for passes.

Hmm interesting, thank you. I agree on Olise. For me we need to be looking for the next Olise.

On Diomande. I don´t think he´s a very tricky dribbler like Olise but he is very quick and I think you are right he has an eye for goal. Not sure he has the passing game of somebody like Olise who plays with his head up but hes still very young.

He would be better than we have for sure and pace out wide with a goal threat is always nice.

I agree.

Not that Fabinho was bad on the ball but he wasn´t a playmaker or a creater or a scorer. He just played it simple and was tidy. The odd decent pass and that is enough.

Speaking of Danes. Has anyone seen Morten Hjulmand at Sporting?

He´s quite solid and a good passer between the lines. I think he´s about 25 so a good age to bring in. I´m wary of us signing too many young kids. We need experienced quality too.

Ive never seen him play but he is who was talking shit about how embarrassing Arsenal are after their tie so I like him for that

Aha really?

Sounds ideal.

Not sure who I would pair him with or what type. Hes quite combative but also a good progressive passer. A bit like Anderson but less mobile.

Time for a daily post about a rumour

France forward Bradley Barcola could leave Paris St-Germain in the summer, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona interested in the 23-year-old. (Sky Sports Germany)
