David Ornstein didn’t say that, did he?
Apparently it might be a ‘Blag’ account :0(
My lad said he would bring Darwin back as a cheap interim option, to give us another up front. Assuming we spend a lot of money on the wing/midfield/defence, and don’t have the dough to buy a more accomplished striker, put me down for another round of Darwizzy fun.
This time he comes in as a rotational option, rather than as a main man who we had high hopes for. I would do it in that framework.
Edit
I know it’s a blag Orny account, but I’m still on board with another Darwizzy twirl, on the proviso above.
No thanks.
Guess there’s truth in the Iraola Chaos Theory if he likes Darwin.
It’s “organized chaos” not “absolutely batshit insane chaos”
So likely to be confirmed around September rather than July…
p.s. would we go for 50 M + Rio for Olise?
Why do fans want to ship off Ngumoha? It would not be a good look for LFC in promoting youth to play in the 1st team.
I think Darwin would play better with someone who speaks the same language, tbh. I’d give him another shot as short term cover.
He’s a foreign bloke who plays in midfield for Westham
Madrid are ready to offer 150m euros for Olise apparently.
WHERE are they going to play him. Sitting on Mbappe’s shoulder?
I don’t think that would be the issue. Rio would only be sold for a massive fee to a major club that he would want to play for. I don’t think another youth player would be offended by that - they’d see it as evidence of Liverpool’s capacity to develop players into the kinds of talents that command that fee from another top tier club.
The issue for us is that it makes absolutely no sense to sell Rio at this time when we’re in desperate need for wingers. Not unless Bayern steps up with a fee that’s so big we couldn’t possibly turn it down - something in the 150M+ range. But I doubt they’ll get there and I doubt we will sell him anytime soon.
FFS Darwin?
Anyone wanting Darwin back must be nuts!
Since we beat them to Wirtz they do this and try irritate the hell out of us, but we are also having a go the other way by showing interest in Olise .
No I’d want a straight swap.
The Olise thing is as transparent as the Haaland claim. Two competing candidates for Real Madrid President basically winding up the supporters to gain votes.
But I do think there’s a good chance they’re going to sell Vini this summer - Mourinho and Vini together after the racism row with Benfica seems like a toxic mess. That would give them a need for another winger.
He’s not going and we are not selling him off you pop to play footie manager.
