Jota missed quite a few matches last season. It’s not quite accurate to say we had 6 attackers last season, we had 5 and a bit. Maybe even less considering Chiesa missed a lot of matches too.

The Isak stuff is quite understandably messy, but its confusing why the Guehi stuff is taking so long to resolve. Palace have known this was on the cards since before last season ended so you’d have thought they’d have multiple plans laid out for how to deal with it. So why have they still made no progress? You can imagine their budget is uncertain given the UEFA fuckery theyve gone through and only finally resolved on Thursday. I wonder whether they asked for some grace from us to wait until the end of the window for them to figure out if they had the money to go for the tier A option (if they made it through qualifying) or cheaper options?
