The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 4)

At least someone gets it!

Let’s not forget that this the unreliable transfer rumour thread and I would say that this meets that criteria.
Is Bastoni really that good? Is he really worth that much?

Liverpool are ready to offer 100m euros (Ā£88m) to sign Italy international Alessandro Bastoni, 26, from Inter. (Il Giorno - in Italian)

And can we afford to keep spending so much?

Depends if they deliver.

Is there a delivery fee?

That Bastoni ā€œlinkā€ is so lazy in last years, I’m not giving it any importance.

Yeah, but there is unreliable and unreliable that doesn’t even make much sense if we were chasing Bastoni. As we approach Virgil’s end here, it might make more sense. But I think the plan is to have him as a starter until 2027 and improve the area at RCB (something I’ve been screaming for ages). Potentially add a hybrid left footed defender next summer.

I suppose this was inevitable given the season that Dom’s having. So-called journalists can see what everybody else can see that we have two no.10s, so it’s easy to come up with the idea that one of them has to go and it won’t be the one we paid a shed load for in the summer.

Of course, we would never sell to City, but if RM actually were interested then the price would have to be more than we paid for Wirtz.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are both interested in Liverpool and Hungary midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, 25. (AS - in Spanish)

Fichajes seems to know an awful lot. This is believeable and probably inevitable.

Liverpool and Scotland left-back Andy Robertson, 31, will leave Anfield when his contract expires next summer and has already held talks with Celtic . (Fichajes - in Spanish)

Szobo to Real wouldn’t make much sense. They have enough dynamism and physical attributes in midfield. They might need more control, because they haven’t really replaced Kroos.

Seems a peculiar thing for a CB to say. What would be his thoughts on our style of play?

The media seems to think we’ll continue to splash the cash.
I really cant see Bournemouth selling Semenyo January, even if we do offer a ridiculous amount.

I thought i had read somewhere that he has a clause in his contract that may allow him to leave if we make a bid…not sure how true that is though.

Yeah lots of talk about a relatively attractive clause which could make them open to negotiating something in Jan on better terms which would suit a team really interesting in making a move early

I expect him to be a Kee player

I think he signed a new contract recently, and there was talk of a clause of around £60m.
