You haven’t heard of Indy? He was very active in the summer predicting our transfer business with varying degrees of accuracy. He’s not the worst, but definitely counts as unreliable.
I have no idea why we would be looking for an attacker. Surely it’s a CB we need.
Thanks didnt know. But then might be a winger I thought if true. There’s also some words going around as to Guehi being approached by Real, and those are that he’s a verbal agreement with us, which he will honour and might come in Jan.
Subiabre? At a guess. Young Argentinian winger on the cusp of breakthrough, get him now before he signs a new deal with a very large release clause?
I know nothing, pure guesswork.
I agree we need a central defender or two.
Semenyo?
Looks like. But it’s Indy so…
With Mo off to AFCON Semenyo is a ready made, Prem proven replacement. I’d be happy with that, and obviously he still has years left on the clock for whenever Mo moves on, and if we do sign Semenyo, my guess is that could be summer 2026 for Mo. We’ll see. It’s but a rumour.
Semenyo has been linked for ages, so it’s likely Indy is having bit of a punt.
From this position, the last thing we need in January is another attacker, before we even found out a way how to make it work with the current ones. That would be really taking the piss, like it’s a FIFA game. If he would come in as a replacement for someone who would leave in January or next summer, then maybe, but at the moment we have no idea and that is also partly connected to the issue to trying to find a way. You could also make the argument that he’d come in to push Ngumoha and compete with or potentially replace Gakpo, but again… really? Now?
Quite a specific punt though, to be fair.
Could be preemptive with an eye to Mo leaving in the summer.
I’m not even sure Mo will move next summer.
I’m not even sure we can move Mo when and under the conditions we want.
I’m not even sure right wing is Semenyo’s best position.
I’m not even sure what we’ll do with our current forwards, even in a scenario without Mo.
If I was an ‘ITK’ looking for Liverpool clicks, I’d go Semenyo. It seems pretty likely.
You sound fairly uncertain, to be fair
Are you sure?
Possibly?
Not even sure Slot is certain.

Semen Yo is a versatile forward, but only makes sense if Mo or someone like Gakpo were off in January/sumner. We need a central defender…surely that’s the priority.
Semenyo can play across the front 3. If he is seen as a better fit than some players already at the club then a deal in January has value. Either way I doubt it would be prioritised ahead of a defender. We can likely do deals for both positions.
Sorry I’m laughing at Semen Yo.
