The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 4)

Looking at the situation right now, he’d probably be dafter to come here.

A second child centre back to go with the Austrian one. A quick Google says he’s already 6’2" so that’ll keep the “only 6’ is too short to be a centre back” brigade happy

Right thread then

Realistically though…hed probably play a lot for them.

They do that all the time as soon as we are linked with a player they’follow suit the same with RM and manure.

In terms of City in for Guehi, well… Dias and Gvardiol have been first choice this season and could be also next season. Even if I don’t know what are their injuries like (I hope from Croatia’s point of view that Josko is fine for the WC).

But Stones’ contract is expiring in the summer (question if he will stay or that’s the end of his time at City), Ake is in the last year of his, etc.

Of course he is, but more due to circumstances than merit (also partly to game time given).

If Chiesa (or any of our forwards) was to leave this month, we’d surely have to bring someone in.

Probably offered a loan deal.

Yup.

Juventus have started talks with Liverpool over a loan move for Federico Chiesa, with the 28-year-old Italy forward open to a return to the Serie A club where he spent two seasons between 2022-2024. (La Gazzetta dello Sport - in Italian)

Did we pay 10m for him? If so then ‘fuck off Juve, we want 10m now’

They will probably offer it in old lira, which would be as valuable as toilet paper now.

That front 4 is more for protecting the lead in additional time.
