BBC report says Leverkusen want Ā£43m (50m euros) but Arsenal wonāt go that high. If they bargain down at all itās not going to be much more than we sold him for.

Our clause is ā¬70m this summer. I would have though that would be the benchmark for Leverkusen.
Itās about the rules, after all, and I was talking about pointing them out, not dictating the lineup. You have to consider the possibility that Slot wasnāt fully aware of these rulesāand that is what Hughes should have done. Is my English to blame again? Apologies if that came across the wrong way.

Update on the Gakpo situation: according to the Dutch journalist Joost Blaauwhof - who I think is a guy who knows things - both Liverpool, Tottenham and Gakpo himself are positive to a transfer. It requires the green light from Liverpool.

Yeah I see that, but I donāt see how that makes sense for Leverkusen. I am taking that part of the reporting with a huge pinch of salt.

I went back to the old match threads to review the comments on Quansah.
Safe to say that many of the comments here are the classic case of pinning after what you no longer haveā¦
The club, NOT Slot, did assess Quansah in relation to the alternative talents of Leoni and Jaquet and made the decision to sell him.
From what I saw of Leoni and Jaquet, and Quansah at Leverkusen, I donāt see the disaster that is stated here. But time will tell.

They had better not sell him before the Barcola signing is complete and even then spuds would have to pay a lot more than The Ā£70M thatās bandied about , that they are willing to pay. His value in the current market is north of Ā£90M IMO.

Agree, I feel the rumoured Savinho fee sets a presedence here. And I think this would be the last domino to fall in the whole Barcola saga.
