Nice! I love a chart thing, haven’t seen many of those for players we’ve been linked with this window.
My bad.
Stuff like this is kind of useful, largely because the club are data driven. However, because the publicly available stuff is a pretty unsophisticated compared to what the theoretical physicists at the club have cooked up, there’s only so much that can be inferred by bozos like me. Players with measurable skillsets (shooting, passing, dribbling, carrying), that are really good, stand out though which helps if you want to understand why the club might be interested in someone.
Here’s a short explanation for each label:
G90: Goals scored every 90 minutes
xG90: Likelihood of a player’s shots resulting in goals based on location they were taken
Sh90 Number of shots taken every 90 minutes played
A90: Number of assists provided every 90 minutes played
KP90: Number of shot-creating passes a player provided every 90 minute played
xGChain90: Assigns a value to the contribution of all the players in any possession that leads to a shot. (contribution = pass, cross, shot)
xGBuildup90: Measures the contribution of players who are involved in the earlier phases of possession sequences of that lead to shots (contribution = any pass before assist/excludes shots)
Hope this is useful.
Another right footed left winger. Not good enough. Would want silly money for average talent. Clearly a twat. Don’t want to give Arsenal money. Why would you sell Gakpo to replace him with a lesser player.
The list of reasons goes on and on.
We have pulled out of that signing and Guess who has barged in on the opportunity to sign him for a higher price than we were prepared to pay; Manure,Villa, Shitty and a few more PL teams. This is either going to bite us in the backside or the other teams are going to end with egg on their face.
We are so focused on the Barcola deal to the point of wearing blinkers imo so much so that we have sanctioned the transfer of Gakpo to spuds leaving us and Iraola exposed.
If that price is true for Quansah 35m plus 8m on what we sold him for id buy him…can he play RB ?
Unfortunately it appears the news of the clubs newfound wealth has caused asking prices to go through the roof - at this point it’s time to walk away and look for better value elsewhere
(Not A.I. or Photoshop - I was looking for something else on the website in question and came across this truly unacceptable bit of price gouging
)
Yes
You saved me from making the same comment but I bit my lips and just ignore the dramatic use of words about posters who only are expressing their opinion.
Got a pack for £1 in Home Bargains
Do they do a selection pack that comes with full backs, wingers, a defensive midfielder and backup striker?
Inter Milan are keen to sell Brazilian winger Luis Henrique, 24, to fund a move forLiverpool’s England midfielder Curtis Jones, 25, who is expected to cost about 40m euros (£34m). (Corriere dello Sport - in Italian)
Why don’t we just do a swap and forget about Mbaye?
I did think that
I didn’t realise they wanted to offload Luis Enrique because he is imo better than Ryan his compatriot from Bournemouth.
Just had some friends visit from England and they brought us a few bars of cadburys as the stuff here tastes like wax.
It seems I’m sitting on a gold mine!
Why don’t we just do a swap and forget about Mbaye?
Because then we don’t get to book the pure profit that selling Jones would represent?
Always thought Quansahs half time substitution was a cowardly singling out of a young player.
Would not have done it with a more senior player. Actually from memory didn’t even think he was too bad. Seemed to be a minor error of not being aggressive enough, something that seemed to be over looked when it came to the likes of Konate.
Yeah, he did not really made any big mistakes that day, certainly not worse than Konate last season. And Slot basically told him to f*ck off for the rest of the season.
Whether or not it was fair to keep him on the periphery of the first team, in that game Quansah was getting absolutely bullied in the air, and being targeted by Ipswich. As soon as we brought in Konate the back line looked more dominant and we pressed forward to win the game.
A lot of selective reading going on here.
For me the issue is the contrast with how Quansah was treated during and after that game, and how Konate got a basically free pass last season despite playing infinitely worse for a lot longer.
You can say well we lacked alternatives, but the issue there once again is we did have an alternative, but Slot froze him out of the team and he was ultimately sold by Hughes before any replacement was secured.
