I have read it, and you’re the one doing all the provoking. The two paragraphs I quoted above serve no other purpose than to try and bait another poster. I could go earlier in the discussion and flag you telling him you’ll give his post a like as he obviously needs the validation.
You can argue your point without being deliberately provocative. If you can’t then step away.
I like Cody, I think he’s a good player that gave his best whenever he wore the shirt. However, he’s not quick enough, physical enough or smart enough to impact the game to the extent needed for this Liverpool team.
I agree that Grav’s is on shaky ground. Just based on the way Iraola plays without the ball I think it’s gonna be tough for him.
Nah, both are talented enough to recoup decent money. The club are set to double their money with the Cody sale and he Grav provides the type of rare, on-ball profile teams would pay good money for.
It’s fun this time of year. The longer the window goes on the worse the players we have are actually perceived. Van Dijk too old and not the great he was, Frimpong can’t play right back, the centre backs are too young, Jones has an attitude issue and hasn’t kicked on, Mac Allister’s legs have gone, Grav can’t play as a 6, Dom is too selfish, Wirtz doesn’t shoot enough, Gakpo isn’t good enough. The list goes on and on.
But you talk about letting Jones go and everyone wants a world-class replacement. You talk about Gakpo going and there’s a worry about who else can play up top. You suggest Elliott go and theres concerns about our homegrown quota. You talk about Endo going and people are worried by the lack of seniors in the squad.
And then you go to the “who would you buy” thread and the only names discussed beyond the two lads we’re looking likely to buy are Djed Spence, Adam Wharton, Tyler Morton and a bunch of relatively untested names from the continent.
There’s a real sense of the grass always being greener and even if we don’t think a player is good enough we can only possibly countenance selling them if we’ve a world class replacement coming in.
I kinda think it’s the opposite. The longer it goes and we don’t sign anyone we will convince ourselves that the squad is better and better.
People talking about Endo doing a job, when he hasn’t for the last three years so why now. The reactions to Gakpo scoring in a friendly against Como for example.
The article is one of those transfer round up pieces that has used Bruno’s contract talks as the anchor. Pearce is linking to it and relaying the main bit of Liverpool related news from it
