He just went to the World Cup Final and was training with the club and appeared in their first match, so I don’t think the comparison is similar to Isak’s strike. No reason to believe he isn’t fit.
The concern that he’d turn around and want to go to Barca in a few months is fair, though. I’d be fine extorting them in that scenario. Hopefully Hugo would be back by then and we could invest any fee in some improvements elsewhere.
If the atleti boss is someone who stands by his words, barca aint happening.

No. Isak is prem proven. He will be a stud. Trust. Iraola is being paid to maximize the talent on the squad and I believe he will do just that.
With us selling Jones and how Iraola wasn’t exactly eager to give Nyoni an opportunity against Newcastle, or start him vs Como (albeit small samples size), I think we actually might sign a midfielder and Camara has been linked.
Although I assume we need to start looking at homegrown players.

Umm so is Alvarez unless you’ve forgotten, he won the league with City. And more than likely a better fit for sides in the PL that have to work through packed defences like us.
I have yet to see conclusive proof that Isak can do that. Playing for Newcastle gives you space behind that you won’t get playing for Liverpool.
I’ve seen Isak do it sporadically but I have my doubts whether he can do that regularly. He’ll get clattered into and doesn’t seem very robust to me physically and even less so mentally.

I’ve been wondering the same. Its very rare to see a player return in summer in such shape as he did this summer, but I can only imagine how difficult last season was for him, after the summer he had in the u21 Euros.
I very much hope that he finds a place where he can find the spark or whatever is needed for him to return to the correct pathway to build a respectable career his talent deserves.

AS Monaco and Chelsea Football Club are negotiating tonight the arrival of Lamine Camara with a view to replacing Enzo Fernandez.

This wish casting with Trent is silly.
I would be shocked to ever see him come back. Especially with the acrimony surrounding his departure.
I don’t think he’ll stay at Madrid in the long term, though.
Chelsea is the club I’ll keep a watch for. Reece James is always hurt. You’ve got Xabi and Hendo there. They play with wingbacks, which would serve Trent.
