The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

Because of how Harvey Elliot got screwed the new standard for loan to buy contracts calculates minutes playable when healthy and available not just how many starts or appearances a player makes. Unfortunately he was the sacrifice so future loan contracts could be worded better.

As I said if you had read what I wrote!

Will they take Frimpong?

But my point is that he doesn“t have that ability. He can“t do it. He never does.

What evidence do you have that he can do those things when he never does it? You could say any player can do it. Jay Spearing even

oh I totally get you. But it’s a matter of the perception of the players development. You think players of that calibre playing in that position at that level would have all skill sets of a certain grade.

And Villa has an agreement with PSG for Mbaye! I guess MBaye is not the winger we are looking for eh?

Happy with that, especially for that fee. About 50mil quid.

Don“t think us spending it on him would have been wise.

Valencia again? A Chiesa-Harvey double scoop maybe?

Andoni: ā€œFor a club like us we need wingers who can make the difference, who can be the man who can make the difference in isolation, who can attack the spaces,ā€ he told reporters on Thursday.

ā€œ[But] also do the defensive work that we are going to demand from them in terms of pressing or sometimes following the full-backs."

That defensive side isnt Mbaye’s game. although it might become as he is still developing so that’s a bit of an unknown. But it’s definitely something Minteh is known for.

Some very unreliable rumours of a Trent return. Would take that in a heartbeat. Some progressive passing and not having to watch Frimpong every week.

Bangs in a free kick against the Mancs and it will all just seem like a wee holiday to Spain

I’d want the price to be reasonable if we get Trent back, but he is definitely a very good player and with a hard worker like Minteh in front of him the flank would be fine.

If he comes I will say to err is human and to forgive, divine.

That has already been dismissed by David Lynch and other sources. It’s all nonsense.

If Barcola is indeed signed that means we have: Barcola, Gakpo, MuƱoz and Rio

Yes they are mostly left wingers but Barcola and Muñoz can play on the right and perhaps Rio. It“s a solid enough set of wingers to get us through to January or next summer until a really outstanding candidate emerges.

I think it would be prudent to buy a midfielder or right back with the 60 or so we would have for a winger. Sell Elliott and Chiesa and add it to the kitty.

Should get a loan deal with an option to buy.

Obligation to buy ??

Same here, I’d be all over that. A big part of why I’m hoping for it is that it could be a multiple birds one stone type of thing.

Better ball progression, better transitions. All the Trenty things.

And.. maybe..just maybe.. there’s a chance Iraola would play Bradley at left back when he returns.

Bless him, nobody tries harder. But I might lose my mind watching Kerkez trying to put a decent cross in. Or, to be more accurate, watching him hit the ball as hard as he can in the general direction of a human being in a football kit.

He has 12 months left…need to sell

He has on occasion mostly when deeper than he usually plays.
He, and Gravenberch for that matter, lack the vision. They prefer advancing ball at feet. I don’t know why this is. I’d prefer pass and move particular they tend to run into cul de sacs.
One thing I’m sure of is Szoboszlai can make those passes
As I said the question is why doesn’t he?
I don’t expect TAA levels or even Hendo/Jones levels but he the ability.
