We are loaded up front already but I hate the idea of any other club getting Fulham’s kid Josh King. What a player he is for 19 yrs. Super smart, silky forward who is going places. Fulham are way better than their position btw and Arbeloa has the right idea but needs time.

Yes he is a right winger and is scoring regularly for Feyenord and is much cheaper than Minteh.
Where will he play him though? We will have to cough up loads of money for him and will have to sacrifice either Wirtz or Dom.
Was impressed with bits I saw of him at the end of last year.

Minteh I understand.
Scott is a ball carrier and we already have two of those. We either need a passer who can maintain position and channel attacks into pressure, or a tackler who can pass progressively.

a midfielder that is defensive minded that can cover in defence when the full backs pushup. He only really needs to be able to pass forwards to a red shirt. Win it and pass it type. Nothing fancy.

Yet apparently players with the two qualities you described are like golddust.

It is what happens when people spend too much time rejoicing in the scums downfall… they think it is impossible to find players who can pass to a red shirt!

Is that Stevie Gerrard guy any good! Lots of injuries.

It’s very rare to have a player with such extravagant gifts as Stevie g. Before him only I can only think of Lothar Matthaeus have the same set of skills and ability.

I think redknapp was a hugely talented player, destroyed by injury. I liked Sammer too but he doesn’t really fit the gerrard description

After the game yester Iraola was asked about Mora by a Mexican reporter. Gave the typically non committal manager response; not our player, can’t talk about him, etc.

Mora is an interesting one to me. Do we need another #10? Would he be a Wirtz backup? Technically we don’t have a like for like in that position presently, so it makes some sense from that perspective. He’s young and won’t demand crazy minutes. If we sign him, it means we are fully committing to a formation with a #10. He is very talented, but also very short/slight. Still young so he will potentially grow more, but perhaps not the best fit for the PL.

He could have been. But more of a 10. Even the pre-injury Jamie never had Stevie’s pace and agility. Ball skills and shooting? Absolutely!

Not to forget that we also signed Samuel Martinez, albeit he’s a year younger and not such a senior player already like Mora. We’ll see if he comes if he’s in competition for the #10 spot or maybe spends a season on loan somewhere first.

Watching the first half against Villareal we definitely need an alternative for Wirtz and although Wirtz has struggled for consistency, it showed how available he is for a pass and without him how struggled to progress the ball.

Yes, it will be very interesting to see what happens. The link to him just won’t go away, so it seems there is something to it.
Yeah, it makes sense to have another option can that play in a similar manner if that’s what we are going for.

Felix Nmecha: Liverpool ‘Make Contact’ For In Midfielder Search
Seems like Nmecha was mentioned as a target in the summer but wasn’t all that serious. I think he is too similar to what we have in Grav and Dom, so doesn’t make a ton of sense to me unless 2 leave and we bring 2 in.

It’s frustrating that all the midfielders we’re linked with appear to be AMs or all rounders. Give me a DM Julian.
