What happens if Trump defaults in the next few months on those loans (presuming the news reports are accurate)?
Is it just a matter of those properties etc against which the loans are secured being transferred by the courts to another owner?

He has plenty of assets to cover the debts (I think a 2.5 to 1 ratio of assets to debt). Not all debts are due immediately and I would guess he would get just remortgage stuff some how. Probably has enough cash on hand for a short while.

They are flooding the zone with disinformation about this, but the kids are not being reunited with their parents because they simply dont know whose kids they are. When they separated them they simply didnt document document it so now there is no way to easily reconnect them. This is not just inhuman given the specific situation, but is a basic failure of governmental rules on standard record keeping.

They’re trying to tie Joe Biden with Hunter Biden, and it clearly isn’t working.
In 2016, there was a narrative around how corrupt the system was, and the electorate wanted someone to go in with a wrecking ball. They’ve now seen the wrecking ball, and now the voters want normality.
I’ve always contended that Trump didn’t win in 2016, Hillary lost it. That’s what exit polls showed. When asked, something like 56% voted for Trump because they were voting against Hillary. My guess is that when Biden is elected President and people are asked the question if they were voting for your candidate or against the other candidate, the number voting against Trump will be sky high.

Trump is worth $2.5 billion according to Forbes. They’ve looked at everything he owns and that what they’ve calculated. $400 million in personal loans against his assets really isn’t that high, though he’ll have debt at the asset level as well.
I’m not sure Forbes are that thorough are they? Their calculations on wealth are generally just a skim over assets and nothing particularly detailed.

Do any of you have a link to find the election expenses. Presidential, Congress and Senate. I’m particularly interested about where the money is spent.
His problem is that almost nothing he has is producing positive cash flow. Needing to refinance, with negative cash flow and no clear timeline for when that might change is not a good position to be in. A couple of lenders have already been burned around luxury hotels, with a couple (Roosevelt in NYC, Palmer in Chicago) having shut down. The sector as a whole is expected to take a 20-35% hit to value over the next year, and there is reason to think that Trump’s assets will fare worse.

It can be fairly difficult to see all of that in one place - a lot more effective summaries of FED filings out there for the revenue side than expenditure. The OpenSecrets one has most of it.

He’ll be fine. Even if his empire crumbles, he can hold rallies and take a piece of the concession. Doesn’t say much about his business acumen that he invested so heavily in the game of golf just as it began to cool off.
Rolling the $400M shouldn’t be a problem, though, given the extent of his identifiable real estate holdings.

Trump owns a LOT of property.
To combat Guiliani finding himself in a compromising position with a girl he thought was 15, Trump’s cheerleaders now seem to be claiming that Borat should be cancelled because it’s racist against Kazakhstani people (and therefore its ok to be a peado).
I don’t understand how so many misunderstand the joke being on the American, not the Kazakh. I can only think they haven’t watched it.
