If @Magnus is ever in London, I will take him for a biryani.

The rest of you can dream on.

I excel in being an uninvited guest.

Yeah, would second these. I use them as well. Not the same brand but it’s easier in an emergency.

And if something like this is available. Saves a lot of hassle.

Depends, are you ugly?

Never thought I’d agree with @PeachesEnRegalia . But someone recently posted about HP sauce and despite peaches suggesting it was awful, I grew nostalgic and ordered a 400 ml bottle. I was so thrilled tossing it on my egg white omelet with spinach and avocado. And the sauce was awful. I had to throw pepper and other hot sauce on top of it until my whole grand initiative was ruined.

So while no one else has the fortitude to apologize to peaches, I do!

Mixing Peeches and Walshy in a blender and only adding HP souce doesn’t sound as nice as the curry you people usually show off here.

Big day for eats and treats here. Started the day with a delicious smoked salmon bagel, and a mimosa/bucks fizz.

Mrs ROTW cooked a turkey and a nice ham earlier in the week and we have been eating away on those. We usually don’t eat that stuff on the big day itself though.

We have a prime rib roast, medium rare, perfection. I coated it in butter, garlic and rosemary. We also prefer more of an English style roast dinner, than a lot of the sweeter things they have here, so it will be roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, veggies, gravy, delicious.

I do like pecan pie so will have some of that later on. I’m off work until Monday, and we have good cheese and crackers, prosciutto and loads of things to pick away at.

I am making sure I do 3+ miles a day and will be happy to not put weight on over the festivities. It really feels like Christmas for me. Daughter back home too, Liverpool beating Real Madrid, and a big game against Man City to look forward to.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow reds!

Jamon. Delicious Jamon.

It was my birthday recently and Mrs ROTW asked me what I wanted. I genuinely couldn’t think of anything. I’m the world’s worst shopper and don’t really care for more and more things, so I’m a bit of a nightmare to buy for. I’m genuinely happy if people give a gift to charity or something.

Anyway, she got me a surprise, which is something I always thought would be nice but had completely forgotten about. It arrived today.

A whole Spanish ham, cured, aged, with a stand and a long sharp knife. I set it up and it now sits on its stand, proudly, on an island in the kitchen. Apparently it is fine to sit there for four months or more. It came with a little cover to put over it.

So… we poured a nice g&t and I watched a YouTube video to learn a little about how to carve, and I just took off a few little slices from the maza. Absolutely delicious.

I foresee a happy, tapas sort of future, until about Easter time.
