All the better for me. I’ll finish this one.

You know that someday this is going to happen, right? Frightening.

Quite a lot of guys wanting to land back from US to India.

I’m alright with treating them to haleem and biryani. Just don’t ask me to find them a job.

Trying something new.

I’m always on the lookout for sources of plant based foods that can work with my diet. So i’ve stumbled onto this source of pea protein (and other stuff including the wild rice).

Interesting thing is when you want more, you send the plastic bag(s) back in the supplied envelope and they fill it back up for you.

We’ll see how it goes.

Make sure you soak them overnight before cooking them.

Football fans split over octopus sandwich as ā€˜local delicacy’ served up by Serie B club

If you ever find yourself in Bari, Puglia, on Italy’s southern coast overlooking the Adriatic Sea - you might find yourself served an octopus sandwich.

Nah… think I will give this a miss, just in case eh

Sort of related to food, although equally a comment on modern society, so I’m putting it here:

Good on him. Cannot stand chancers trying to get something for nothing.

It’s the sheer entitlement.

People throughout are getting more entitled.

Saturday. Lazy day. Rare treat a cooked breakfast. Trying to eat a bit healthier. Not quite the full English I miss, but an approximation. Hopping around footy games then might watch some rugby. I used to know all the players back in the day, but these days I’ve lost touch and only know one or two. Still, a bit of Six Nations later on too, lovely.

Thinking of going vegetarian. It’s relatively easy for me to go without meat for 4-5 days as well considering that even the majority of Indians who eat non veg are people who eat at the max once or twice a week.

No particular reason. Just want to go vegetarian for a month. I don’t drink milk but I do have curd(yoghurt) so I suppose that won’t be a particularly vegan diet.

Doubt I’ll ever go fully vegan even if most if not all Indian vegetarian stuff can be fully vegan (leaving aside paneer / ghee)

Good luck.

I’m pretty much vegan these days - I only break this when I have fish and chips once a month and when I go to Claridge’s, again on a monthly basis.

I’ll still have to cook non veg for the kid and the wife. We’ve made a definite decision to avoid going out for restaurants or ordering in fast food.

Wife keeps insisting that she doesn’t want to eat non veg but she ends up demanding it pretty much everytime.

I suppose that’s going to be the major urge for me to control.

I can make it better at home. But I’d have to make in volumes.

That’s another thing which we are looking at to avoid.

Cook enough for the meal with no left overs in the refrigerator. Takes more cooking time but we really don’t want any storage of cooked food.

Why?

People who eat these (or lobster) are cunts
