I’ve been to an Indian takeaway that did a Banana Naan. Was very hard to order without saying “da-da-da-du-dut” every time. Was nice though.

Preach! I think it’s a lot more accessible (and cheaper) than most people would presume. However, I think addictiveness of some products aside, it’s also a time/stress issue. Cooking isn’t easy for a lot of people.
Mrs ROTW has been in a local farmers co-op for a few years now. Basically we buy local produce each week for a fixed fee. In the box you get certain staples, and then other veggies as they are in season, that will come and go throughout.
Organic. Local. Helps the farmer and stays away from big business, and less than optimal practices, which dominate the food scene here in America.
So we always have fresh local produce in our meals. We cook at home more than most of the people we know too. And while I’m on it, I’m eating a delicious blueberry crumble right now, packed with blueberries from the local farmer co-op. Love it.
