Injuries aren’t controllable. You can’t look at a fresh injury and accurately predict how long it’ll take to heal fully and recover even if no complications and set backs happen during the recovery. People are just being unrealistic expecting the club to be able to know when players will be back full stop let alone in the statements straight after injuries. It’s all educated guesswork.
The mods started it.
Thiago’s injury history was no secret to anyone, we all knew he wouldn’t be playing 90 minutes 3 times a week.
What covid and a leg breaking tackle have anything to do with that is beyond me. Can’t we wait for him to pull his groin before giving it the big “I told you so”?
I think the issue is that anyone else would have been back by now. Heck, it near enough broke his leg but if it was you or I, a hastily constructed splint, two days on the sofa with a few whiskeys and we’d have been back out there good as new after a week. At most we’d have needed a tubigrip and a bit of deep heat.
But this guy? He’s just fragile, should have listened to @GermanRed
Is it weird that there’s been nothing about what the injury specifically is or an estimated return time.
I thought he’d been back in training
I saw him at the Kirkby gym facility thing talking to Robbo after the international break (on the offal), but yeah unlike the Ox and Hendo he hasn’t really featured in any out door shots.
Just like TAA who seem to have completely vanished.
Has TAA been in any shots.
I do think we are over cautious which is good in a way but doesn’t help currently.
That is Chernobyl, though.
Very close to returning to training according to Pearce.
I still don’t believe in any conspiracy here.
It’s just us being nervous and impatient (just natural, I am as well) with the injury crisis and missing what could be a boss player for us who is also new at the club (adds to the excitement).
Shit happens, sometimes even the club and medical staff can’t tell exactly how long it will take. Things can get complicated, Klopp explained that initially they thought Thiago would be okay, but then he felt it’s not completely healed. That probably happens much more than we think anyway.
He’s also a new player, doesn’t help when you don’t have years and years of knowing and working with that player.
Yeah, there were cases when certain injuries took longer than expected and we didn’t say much initially. There was also the odd time when it was the opposite. Everyone immediately believed Alisson would be out for at least 6 weeks, not daring to even hope it could be shorter. And it was in the end.
The club doesn’t have to tell us everything, provide little updates every day. Klopp needs that, not us or anyone else in the public. In this day and age (when everything is ‘content’), let’s be honest, we as fans know enough and more than enough. I personally don’t need more info, I just want the club to do the best job as possible behind the scenes. The club doing well is the priority for every one of us, let them keep some things inside the house. It’s a sign of a club that works well, be it with transfer targets or whatever.
We have tons of press conferences pre/post-match. For anything else or more, let journalists do their work and discover if they can. For our club’s sake, I hope it’s as little as possible with these matters. It’s not the club’s job to excite us or tell us exactly how it is or calm us down. I can’t bloody wait to see Thiago get a proper run in this team, but it will always be secondary to the club as a whole.
That would be a very welcome surprise!
I strongly believe Thiago signed a pay per view contract with us like Goldberg did with WWE
A few weeks.
Waste of a signing. Sell in Jan and buy someone who can stay fit.
And there is the confirmation. January it is then, as I thought. At the very least The Boss doesn’t have to keep getting asked the same question about Thiago.
Are you saying that to me, or should we say that to Thiago?
On a serious note, that tackle was really bad. It didn’t get much coverage as Pickford’s because of the red card and since Thiago continued playing thereafter. But it seemed more reckless and intentional to me than it looked. Ridiculous how they got away with so much damage they inflicted to us with just a “Ohhh Jamez also got injured for one game” C*nts.
I am happy that he is available to play in this season itself, it could have been really really bad!
And in your opinion, who is this signing that can stay fit despite being horrendously tackled like what we saw in the Everton game?

I am trying to find answers to that question myself, because most of the players are categorized into “Flop/ injury prone who needs to be upgraded in Jan/ summer”.
There’ll be a day Jota will be categorized as well, because our memories and patience run out thin very very fast no matter how good a situation we might be in and our worries are compounded in seconds, while the trust in the club on the other hand could take years to build.
