Brilliant tonight, complete performance.
Aside of Jota’s two goals, he was probably performance wise our MOTM.
Wanted him at LCM, Jones was a bit crap, so he didn’t merit to remain there.

Yeah I agree. Fab and him are such a perfect combo in midfield when in form. Wonderful to watch and can dominate and control games beautifully.
Thiago is a terrier, hunts the ball then Fab mops up they look brilliant as a pair.
I’ve never for a long time seen a player run so little yet always be ahead of the game. He is a master craftsman.
His first touches are atrocious, it’s like there’s suction cups on his boots.
Does atrocious mean good now?
Maybe the suction cups are fucked? Hence the atrocious touch?
If he stays fit I reckon we win at least two trophies.
I was pleasantly surprised with his energy, although again, a few of his tackles reminded of his over-aggressiveness from last year, he needs to be more careful with that. Not try and prove in every single duel/tackle that a 30ish-year old Thiago Alcantara “can cope with the PL demands”. Use your brain rather, that’s one of your main strenghts.
I don’t like him at RCM (has a much better view of the whole pitch/much more passing lanes with his right foot from LCM), but understand that it was also circumstances, perhaps Hendo out was a late event and we didn’t want to flip the positions of our two #8’s. Maybe in some games against stronger opposition, he might struggle when we don’t regain the ball as a group as well and there’s more defensive transitions than usual.
But use him smartly, doesn’t have to be always, in the majority of games and periods, he can be very important for us. Ideally, you have Hendo raising his form a little bit again, Thiago starting usually at LCM and then the likes of Keita, Jones and Elliott all ready to come in and keep that high level.
probably the only guy who’s a match for matip.
Definition of player in the proper world class elite bracket for a reason! I can watch him play football for hours!
Same here.
It’s unfathomable to me how some of our ‘fans’ here still think it’s ok to scapegoat him when the team isn’t playing well.
He’s Liverpool’s best midfielder for me(big call given how much i rate Fabinho as being among the top 5 world wide in his position). What he adds to the team is non-measurable.
I think it’s because the team, especially the midfield, isn’t playing up to the highest standards when he isn’t playing - sadly, it’s more often than not because of his susceptibility to injuries. In terms of technical ability, I think he might just be the best I’ve seen in a Liverpool shirt. Alonso, Sturridge, Suarez and Coutinho are really close in that aspect but the ball is to Alcantara what the guitar is to Guthrie Gowan - one would think that he carries one with him everywhere he goes, plays with it all the time and invents things unseen, rather than practice incessantly and repeat the same drills over and over like all mortals do.
Some of his passing is sheer beauty
It was like he was playing a different sport when he came on today. Mesmerising. Absolutely brilliant. Please stay fit.
I remember watching his MOTM performances in QF, SF and final of the CL the year before he signed for us. Just on a different technical level than anyone else on the pitch.
He also seems like a top guy and a leader. Just want to enjoy the time he has with us.
Unreal performance today, he completely changed the game.
One of those performances you see live and will remember for years. He was a level above everybody else on the pitch. Absolute class.
