Thiago ALCANTARA: 2021/22

Chances to be back for Inter but definitely after that according to Klopp.

Yes after a scan Klopp revealed that he can return to action soon.

Noticed watching Inside Wembley that he had this during the warm up already:

Sad thing is he probably told his little lad who would have been watching with his mum that he would be playing… might have even been up in the stands
That is a moment gone now never to be repeated… No wonder he was so upset

The prognosis sounds positive in not missing too many games, but the downside is this sort of issue is notorious fickle. These ones where nothing bad has really happened, but you can feel it on the brink are just really unpredictable. Everytime you think it feels good its just as likely to go back to feeling shit as soon as you test it as it is to actually be fine.

Yeah he had that behind his neck on the bench midway through the half, I thought it maybe the reason.

As good a player as he can be, he just hasn’t been available enough for us. Expect he’ll see out his contract here but we can’t be relying upon him, Ox, Naby and old man Millie for too many minutes in midfield next season. We need to replace at least one (Ox hopefully) this summer.

We seem to be doing ok relying on them this season.

Do we know exactly what it was ?

On the Forrest game: Just another final & then one week off.

Sounded like he was looking forward to the week off.

Almost had a Steviesque assist, but then wonderful pass for Jota.

Guess it’s one good thing that Spain seem to have retired him themselves from international football

Thiago’s interview last night was so good. Have rarely heard a Spanish player speak such good English. Intelligent guy on and off the pitch.

Can’t remember us ever having such a likeable team before. They all just seem like great human beings. Compare to United fans talking about how they hate individuals in their team

Xabi Alonso and Juan Mata do. Plenty of Spanish speak really good level of English, but it is rare for one to pick it up as quickly as Thiago has - unless he was l;earning it for a while before moving maybe?

The funniest part was that near the end of the interview, he tried to find the words on game analysis, thought about it and looked over to Robbo for help. Robbo was no help at all!

Yeah they and others were speaking well after a while. Thiago already ahead of Rafa who’s been living in Liverpool for 20 years!

And more articulate than Robbo!
