My point was that the only player in our starting 11 (if we cloned VVD) is my fav player and the most important force on the pitch. THAT’S how good we are.

I assumed it was COVID when the news came out about him being dropped from the squad last night, just because of the lack of specificity around the “minor fitness issue” along with the confirmation that he wouldn’t be back until after the international break.
I hope he’s well, and I also hope he didn’t spread it to anyone else.
Potentially with moving and the like it would have been easier for someone like him to have picked it up rather than a settled player, that’s two of the three lads who moved having got it.

The irony that we prefer the vicious rampant killer COVID that has messed with the world over being injured…but I agree.
But should there not be more questions like how did he get it and is the squad now in the firing line, who else isolates etc.
The good news is possibly only one match missed and he will be right for the Bitters. Don’t you love those international breaks.
