Sir Alex Ferguson snubs Man Utd game after sacking as win stops bleeding for Erik ten Hag

Sir Alex Ferguson was nowhere to be seen at Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Brentford as Erik ten Hag just did enough to keep the wolves at bay for another week

Sir Alex Ferguson chose to go to Glasgow to watch Celtic against Aberdeen, instead of taking his usual seat at Old Trafford.

It was him sticking two fingers up to Sir Jim Ratcliffe & Co, having been told his ambassadorial role was being taken off him. But despite seeing Aberdeen draw, Fergie will have still had much more fun north of the border than had he been in Manchester.

So Ol’ Whisky Nose snubs the Manc game and they actually win.

I think we may have found the problem at the toilet bowl for the last 19 years.

He was always a bit of a sulky one imo.

Surely it isn’t the way he treated the media when he didn’t get his way that gave you that impression…

Or players, basically everyone.

I understood this reference, too.

Neville or Bruno ? Bit too early for Bruno to get the ambassador role though.

Sorry… Neville, as the original, not the pretender :0)

It’s actually just recognition for ambassadorial pundit role he’s been on since he left the football fields.

Man Utd chiefs ‘hold talks with Xavi’ over manager Erik ten Hag’s replacement

Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Xavi over the possibility of replacing Erik ten Hag as manager, with four club chiefs flying to Barcelona

Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on Xavi as a potential replacement for under-fire manager Erik ten Hag. The Daily Mail reports that contact has been made with the former Barcelona boss twice in recent months, as the Old Trafford bosses mull over their options following a dismal start to the season.

A team of four, led by chief executive Omar Berrada, jetted off to Barcelona last Thursday (October 17).

Wrong ex Barca coach. Go get Koeman.

Not sure if Xavi’s fault but they are starting to look like a proper team under Hansi Flick

They sent 4? Now we know where the Fergi money went.

This sounds like excellent news!
Xavi would be an ideal signing for Man Utd to make. He hasn’t done anything which suggests he will be able to work well with the players they have in a very different league to spain. No doubt he’ll try and replace half the squad and bring in a pile of barca type rejects and then another manager will get to start over again in around about Christmas 2026.
