True. Sterling had 1 ruled out v spurs for same. If he laid it off it wouldve stood
We saw it in the Man Utd game to be fair. Refs in Europe will give handball against literally anything no matter the context.
They didnāt follow the rules, VAR canāt intervene, in those circumstances.
Joe Cole says it was correctly ruled out
Fake Red
Once again VAR causes more chaos than Darwin.
Itās fucked.
Crowding ref, time wasting, pure influence at the end - there was only one decision. Argument after argument. Fuck it off or at least remove subjectivity and just for goal line or offside line.
Ref lost all control. Pointing to centre spot for goal. Letting players shout in his face.
It was handball but happened a fortnight before the goal
He was never a red. Is, has always been and always will be a plastic blue.
Iām still laughing that the ref gave the goal then changed his mind to make a wrong decision on the advice of a VAR official who shouldnāt have intervened, for a handball that apparently isnāt reviewable.
To be fair we didnāt deserve an equalizer.
Fucking shambles. Probably a fitting end to that game tbf
13 seconds before, to be precise.
Not sure what the law says in reference to how long the game should be allowed to go on for until VAR can no longer review mindā¦Iād imagine nothing.
I missed this entire game LOL. stupid time change.
Accidental handball in the build-up to a goal or goalscoring opportunity will āno longer be considered an offenceā, footballās law-making body the International Football Association Board (IFAB) has announced.
Didnāt look deliberate to me
It didnāt look accidental to me. Looked like his arm was left there to stop the ball flying past him off his body.
Thought refs ācant do anythingā
Good process boys
handball: its in the name and actually it would make things straightforward ball touches the hand its a foul meant or not . what is wrong here not that it was a hand ball but how far do we go and is it the same phase or different phase, i personally wouldnt want this goal to be given against us
I think with the introduction of VAR itās really affected refereeās confidence in their own decision making ability. They seem to think that anytime the VAR tells them to look at something then they must have got it wrong.
It happned pretty quick. Gotta be Matrix level ability to move fast enough to get control and move the arm
Count your lucky stars
