This is really bad. He’s the only player in the team without an obvious back up (no offence to Millie and Joe) and the last one we need unfit with the schedule we’ve got coming up.
Don’t understand this comment. Milner has done really well at full back.

It’s just not what you want to be seeing is it? Takes away so much from our attacking ability.
We‘ll be ok if we are without him for Forest, Watford and Benfica.

He didn’t do so well against City in the league at Anfield this season. Should have been sent off and was targeted by City all game. It’s the City game I’m concerned about. We really need Trent back for that one.
I watched the presser. Klopp said Trent had a hamstring injury. He was asked if he expected him to be out for weeks rather than days and Klopp said ‘weeks’. I’m hopeful this isn’t as bad as the headlines look. ‘Trent out for weeks’ as a headline sounds horrendous but if it’s just 2 or 3 weeks (which it might be) then it’s not so bad especially as it conveniently covers the international break.

Milner is no trent but he can put in a shift for quite a lot of matches. Even the likes of Benfica at a stretch perhaps.
A tear would be months not weeks so must be a strain. Hope so! Trent can get a hard time on here but we miss him so much when he doesn’t play. Not just by lack of replacement, but because he’s our main chance creator

City do the bulk of their attacking down that side, targeting him wasnt because they thought he was a weak link.
He will 100% be ready for City. Probably a bit sore and thought, Switzerland and Ivory Coast? Fuck that. Got me a quadruple to win.

He was definitely a weak link that day whether City knew it or not. If Trent can’t play I expect Gomez to start there. Hopefully won’t be needed. Pray for TAA.

How would one of the left backs be as inverted wingback for this. Maybe Robbo to shift sides and Tsimikas to play on the left. It’s a hail mary option. Millie / Joe can do a job against lesser teams but with City focussing their attacks there through KDB and Cancelo , Mille wouldn’t have a chance
