I don’t think there’s a place to lose yet though, they’ve only played a few early pre-season games. If Nyoni keeps playing well the next two games, and Gravenberch isn’t up to speed by the time the games against Como are done, I think Nyoni should and will start against Newcastle.

Id like to see him second half with a different midfield partner to szobo as we have seen so far
Is he ready to be a starter? Physically, he looks rather frail for the rigors of PL.
I´m not sure. Against Leeds he out muscled their players a few times and they had players around their first team playing.
He is better with the ball at his feet than any of our other midfielders except maybe Mac though
He does look frail, but he is intelligent with his challenges and tackling and he has impressed me with his passing especially through the lines.
As Liver said he did well against Leeds, Sunderland and Wrexham teams that are competitive in the challenge, I for one am exited about seeing hime play and develop this season.

I think it’s one of those English stereotypes rather than anything factual. As suggested he coped well against the three British teams on tour.

It’s quite funny listening to English football podcasts, how concerned they are with the size of footballers. It does appear to be a cultural thing, seeing it from the outside.
