Tyler Morton (CM) to Braga/Ajax/West Ham/Club Bruges/Lyon

I am a bit surprised that Lyon found 15 mio somewhere :joy: But I really like that move tbh. Happy for Tyler.

Hopefully a good move for the lad, I wish him all the best there. Pretty decent fee, too.

Almost like some journos are full of shit, Lyon can’t find 8m and then suddenly 15m is agreed.

Like fine if 8m is agreed a few days later but double that? :joy:

Nice move for Tyler if it goes through. I hope he does well there.

Good for him. I think he’s going to be a very solid midfielder.

Good move for all involved and certainly closer to the kind of fee you’d expect.

Now, whilst we’re having some nice chats with the good folk at Lyon, there’s a young lad over there we could ask about.

The lad who made our truffle lasagna in the Paul Bocuse market when I was there in October…he’d be a great addition to the canteen staff

How does this deal breakdown.

I think 15m is a decent price.

At a guess, either 10+5 or 12.5+2.5

I’m glad about the sell-on, as it would not be a huge shock if he becomes a 50M midfielder. He has a lot of nice attributes to his game, but he’s just not going to see the playing time at Liverpool.

Just wondering… but I half wonder if a Fofana deal might be on the cards? I know, I know. We have had such an incredible window that it seems fanciful at this stage, but I can’t help wonder about it.

Possible long term replacement for Mo.

But at this stage it is probably overkill.

All the best, Tyler. Going abroad is a bold move, well done.

Lyon are in difficulty right now, but it’s a big club in France. Hopefully everything will turn out fine for him, he deserves it.

Lyon should be fine once Textor divests his shares

I do think Morton will have a step into a German club in the next 2-3 years. His next step of the evolution if you will. If all goes right for him.

Before he moves back to the English league if at all he decides to and is good enough to.

Wouldn’t worry too much about the sell on clause but if he’s setting the French league alight , we can probably consider giving him a way back later by cutting the polishing clubs like Leipzig, Dortmund and Leverkusen from acting like middle men
