From what I understood from Limescouse, he had told the ref that he had received abuse from a coach and when the ref asked who, he answered the black one. If that is the correct version, then I do feel sorry for him. If it is not, it is different.

In that case I hope the assistant coach never comes to South Africa because he’ll be in a huff for his whole stay.
Edit there are all sorts of positive meanings to black; First Black man to have played professional golf, first black man to do this or that and it’s headlines in papers or motivational stories but you can’t go around saying ‘the black guy’? Context is everything I suppose but there is so much actual racism going on with any number of victims… I dunno, it just seems an extension of the general irritability that has pervaded our psyche where everyone is just looking to be offended.

If everyone else were black, that is quite within the realms of possibility. I don’t know, I am not comfortable throwing stones when there is such a language issue involved.
