UEFA Champions League (Part 1)

All time classic game.

Another great goal - for an own goal

WOW!!! What a goal

Decent game this.

Bit of luck going Raphinha’s way there but take nothing from the strike.

Dumfries having the game of his life, Dutch would be proud.

Luck as in?

If Barca win the CL, I can see raphinha winning the balon d’or

Presumably, it going in after the rebound smashed the back of the goalie’s head

Followed by Yamal winning the next 5.

Probably a combination of those things. Generally a fairly young squad + siesta of course.

Hopefully next season we rotate a little more in the group stage of the CL at least. No need to shoot for 8 wins there, anyway.

So…which of the two—Barca/Inter—would be the better side to go up against Arsenal, and win?

Frankly neither but of the two Inter might have a better chance. Barca’s high line will be eviscerated by PSG

PSG will probably settle the tie within the first 15 minutes at Parc de Princes

For the final if it is PSG v Inter Milan.
I want Inter Milan to win Champions League.

Prefer Inter simply to keep Barca a title short of Liverpool, and regarding PSG, no need to mention why.

Who should have reached the CL final and then it’s maybe a 50/50 against most of the opponent involved.

But the way we played for most parts of the season and looking at the overall quality in the k.o. stage - we really missed out on something here.

Yeah but I won’t lie, it would have been quite annoying for me that we would be in the Champions League but playing the likes of Aston Villa and Arsenal anyway.

It just feels less meaningful. It’s not about the quality of the team, but just that playing more English teams in a continental competition feels like a missed opportunity.

With the ball at his feet Yamal is probably the best attacking player in the world right now. IMO he lacks speed and intensity.

Few bad decisions and he’ll end up like Mbappe and Haaland. Still at a very high level but at some point they stopped improving and then it’s difficult to get back on track.
