Noticed if you finished top of the group the EL has an incentive in which you go into the Q finals.

Yes, similar structure for the Europa Conference League. Spurs will add two more games to their schedule if they qualify, simply to get to the Round of 16. That is a month of extra games even before the quarterfinals.
As a rule change though, I like it. Winning a group really matters.

I saw that as well and I’m sorry, it’s some dishonest bullshit right there. Brendan ‘I’m too fucking naff to know all this because it’s beneath me’. Load of crap. Is he really thinking he can say that as the manager of a professional football team when pretty much every random football fan of a top flight team in Europe will know of it notwithstanding the fact he is/was playing in a competition where the rules of finishing 3rd are clear and will have been from the beginning. He even started off that sentence with ‘’ I’ve got to be honest’'. It’s inconceivable that in such a tight group one would be unaware of what the cost of failure would be. What an idiot. Brendan being Brendan again.

Oh dear, no names but a bit of throwing under the bus there. Hasn’t quite cottoned on for him that playing a number of systems leaves players confused and unsure of who is doing what hence tracking of runners, marking and stopping of crosses being a problem.

The winners of the play-off round will join the group winners in the Round of 16.
Group winners qualified for the Round of 16:

Leipzig v Sociedad should be a good tie, as could Porto v Lazio.
Barca v Napoli also with some goals, will still rather watch that one than a few of the CL games.

Hate the concept of dropping down a League. When you come third - fuck off out of Europe. Ironically it could be a Barca’s best chance of getting back to CL
