The bloody cheek to use words like “pogrom” given what Israel is doing in Gaza and the West Bank.
Also please give it a bloody rest. It’s not anti semitic, not acknowledging that Israel’s actions in Gaza is a direct reason for this is to actually diminish the value of the term anti-Semitic.
Language aside, there are a lot of first and second generation people of Arab descent who live in Amsterdam. Given their utter inability to have any effect on the going-ons in Gaza, even a blind person could see this happening.
Not sure what the solution is. I was about to say play in an empty stadium but that would be punishing the Dutch side unnecessarily.

Certainly to compare it with the November Pogrom of 1938 which was a state sponsored attack on Jewish people. I don’t think that there is any suggestion that the Dutch authorities had any involvement in these attacks.

Maccabi fans were vandalising local businesses, tearing
down Palestinian flags in certain neighbourhood attacking taxi drivers and shouting genocidal slogans “death to Arabs” and “there are no schools in Gaza aa there are no children In Gaza”. Inside the stadium, they set off flares and refused to keep quiet to the 1 minute silence for the Valencia flood victims.

Only a volatile situation because the Tel Aviv nationalists came with an agenda. No surprise to me that they feel so emboldened after a Trump victory. Unfortunately, I see this violence as only a precursor to what lies ahead.
