UEFA Nations League

One of the most dangerous words in language.

They don’t “deserve” anything- they haven’t been good enough so far.

Oh no. Great save.

Yeah cool. :+1:

Big build up and he misses

Haha. Dickhead.

Another save

So deserved.

Group A1: Croatia, Portugal, Poland, Scotland

Group A2: Italy, Belgium, France, Israel

Group A3: Netherlands, Hungary, Germany, Bosnia & Herzegovina

Group A4: Spain, Denmark, Switzerland, Serbia

Did England get relegated?

Yes, England are in with Ireland in Group B2.

How embarrassing

It sure is, hahahahaha!

I thought they nearly won it a few years ago.

Hilarious that England are in division B with Oireland when the likes of Israel and Scotland are in A.

Not hilarious for the Irish. It’s a bloody disgrace!

All this international shite just intervers with our matches, fuck it.

Honestly think it would be better if club football season was shortened - say 34 league games, one cup and two leg knock out only european competition. Leave 8 weeks for international footy every year - proper break for WC and Euros and otherwise 2 blocks of Nations League type qualifying without friendlies. Basically everything was better when I was a child etc… (Obviously unrealistic). However I thinmk the Nations League was (perhaps too belated) an attempt to do something about the stupidity of too many international ‘friendlies’ and mismatched qualifiers.

Just looks really naff, I don’t think there is an issue with a 20 side league.

The league cup as much as we have been a success has obviously ran its course.

This however just seems woefully odd. The international breaks should be put together. I really don’t think there should be one just after the season has started (however they are to push this back into a joint one for three weeks in late Sept/Oct so you will get about 8 games before the period starts sometime around 2025.

Have no issue with the March one as it sets it up nicely for the run in.

Ideally i would have less international games and just the major tournaments but thats not going happen and there has to be some fairness as it would be the same teams.

Late Sept to mid Oct, March and June seem to be far more sensible than currently. However all major international tournaments should be every four years. I’m not against one every four years but every two years is just excessive and I don’t think it helps particularly grow the game in those regions if the best players are being taken every two years, clubs will stay away.

Also don’t think it has much prestige to win it every two years.
