Was traveling and unable to watch any of the Hungary-Netherlands match. See Virgil got two yellows within a couple minutes of each other. Wondering if that was a cagey way for him to get some rest by not playing the Tuesday match in Germany. Wonder if he will even travel?

I don’t understand why Virgil gets attacked by his compatriots for getting sent off? He had the best stats in that game of any team in Europe up to that point but they get on his back because he is the captain maybe or some other agenda?

Probably tired from having to keep the hopeless Irish in the game every 5mins. In spite of the error he was still named player of the match.
True, he was really good. Shame that he tarnished his performance with a pass that caused Karius flashbacks from Kyiv, right at the end.
No big deal. Even Becker has got caught out a few times. It happens to the very best.

Fact is he has stepped up for us and shown a lot of competence when he has. One game in which he played very well but had one error changes absolutely fuck all.
All keepers will do some baffling stuff at times and it’s also who surrounds you. I had an average of 3-4 a game when playing with those who just stood and whined as opposed to 1-2 when I played with guys who could defend.
