UEFA Nations League

I really liked the Netherlands shirts tonight. I always like polo style collars on football shirts. Class. Looked amazing on our Gini.

Ireland 7 games without a goal? F*ck me, that’s terrible. :joy:

Probably the result (still weird though) years of sterile coaching and a serious drop in talent/quality.

Our boy’s played meaningless matches in the worthless Nations League in Oktober and November and some even meaningless friendly’s. Twice in a period of 8 days.

This is the top 5.

Wijnaldum 6 matches 444 minutes
Robertson 4 matches 420 minutes
Firmino 4 matches 320 minutes
Diogo Jota 6 matches 272 minutes
Williams 4 matches 256 minutes

Somehow we should give Wijnaldum a Robertson some rest against Leicester, otherwise, it is an injury waiting to happen.

BTW, glad that international shite is out of the way for 4 month’s.

You have to factor in the thousands of miles he had to travel.

At least with Firmino they are the main qualification for the World Cup for them.

The playing of Gini in a friendly last week and a player with an injury concern in Robertson are really irked me.

Glad they lost

That’s it, right there, a serious drop in quality players. There is no quality.

So am I, reckless decision by Clarke to play Robertson and we still don’t know if he’s suffered any more problems as a result.
Beaten by Israel, a team of non league standard in this country.

Jose has asked Southgate to name managers who put pressure on players to withdraw from England duty,
Jose,“I would like him to say who,we all know Sterling of citeh will face Spurs despite his England withdrawal”.lol.

Absolutely no idea how this competition works. Apparently it’s also somehow tied in with euro qualification and partial world cup qualifier.

And of course the obligatory changes made after the first version of said competition to make it even more indecipherable.

The use of the coefficient crap so that big countries with money can progress, etc.

I’ll put this comp in the same bin as the acclaimed Intertoto shit.

I remember when England made the semi finals, Tyler was spunking over it.

It’s basically a tournament to fill in the gaps and get rid of Friendlies it seems.

We are now squeezing 3 games into international breaks because of it.

It’s something entirely pointless and potentially hazardous, the League Cup of national football.

On a par with the African Cup of Nations.

Spain :es: 1-0 up Torres with the goal.

Looks like Spain have decided to copy their way from last summer against Italy when they played Olmo as a false #9, tonight it’s Sanabria in the same role and not Torres centrally. Playing pretty well so far.

I’m pretty much done with international football these days. It doesn’t feel special or important to me any more. It just feels like a pain in the arse! I can’t work out whether it’s me or the game that has become cynical but either way they can shove it up their arses :+1:

How good was that…my usual groan last week when another International break was on the horizon. So excited to watch the big boys v some gumbys in a qualifying mismatch or meaningless friendly. Only time Int football is any good for me is the big tournaments particularly in the knock out phase.

Until I find out it’s Spain v Italy in this Nations League. Now they clearly gave a shit so I’m into it. Sensational stuff. More please.

Torres has pretty good numbers considering his age and game time. 12 goals for Spain in 21 appearances. Very good talent.
