I tailored them because of our affinity. And I knew if I fell off, you’d put me back on, which you have :star_struck:

A bit but when looking through that tweet and the associated documents, three things jumped out at me.

a) Here is a chap with an incredibly short sighted understanding of the business he was in, or;
b) greed
c) zero understanding of what Brexit would mean for his business

Basically, somehow this guy has blamed the EU for imposing export restrictions on his products which came as a result of natural stocks being in free fall and eels being placed on the CITES register. Then to top it his lack of understanding of Brexit will probably mean he loses his main customers.

Good news for English eels though.

About time they have some “good news”. even though this probably helps fuck all, as someone else will estbthem instead. It should be illegal to catch it, it is a critically threatened species, unlike the few whales we hunt that everyone outside Norway gets so much negative publicity.
To catch eel ought to be an environmental crime today as long as the European stock is so critically low. A moratorium really needs to be placed on it. It is beyond hypocritical that the same countries that give us flakk for sustainable hunting on Minke whale, a species that is in every way at sustainable numbers as much research has shown, hunts species that are critically endangered as if it not a problem in regards to humanity’s stewardship of the nature.

:rofl:

Haha.

Love how both stories have an EEC/EC connection.

I think we have a good idea as to what the ERG think of the deal if this, from the Deputy Chairman of the ERG, is anything to go by

It also gives us a pretty good idea as to the calibre of people who make up the ERG.
