UK Politics Thread (Part 1)

I’ve just slightly adjusted this.

You forgot to reply to my earlier comment?

Do you not believe in the presumption of innocence before guilt is proven?

Watching the slimy cunt transparently lying and backtracking his way through a car crash interview, not in this case, not really.

The problem is that in this obsequient, grovelling, deferential embarrassment of a country, there is no way a man like that can ever be brought to justice. There are literally different rules for them.

Has he actually been questioned over it? There’s some unpleasant allegations.

So justice for some but not justice for all.
Doesnt seem like a very fair system.

He probably will never get his days in court sadly(unless he strays into US territory)

I think some high up officials may have had a “discussion” with him and advised that he lays low until everyone forgets about it(as if)
Officially?
No fucking chance.

So he’s free without having to answer a single question about those accusations?

That’s disturbing and wrong almost as if laws dont apply

Well if you know the right people things can be “forgotten”.
Politicians and the rich have done it for years.

Whatever happened to Ghislaines dad always seemed like a deent chap until he went for a swim(allegedly)

I don’t expect we’ll see Prince Andrew set foot in America for the rest of his life.

I’d challenge anyone to read this and suggest that he doesn’t, at the very least, have serious questions to answer.

His defence of himself stretches credibility.

I remember seeing interviews with some of the women involved. It wasn’t good and to be honest I’m more inclined to believe that than a visit by a royal to Pizza Express.

No doubt he is either a very very bad judge of character or an out and out wrong un.
Still innocent until proven guilty.

As a side note would it have been less damaging to the Monarchy for him to be found charged and found guilty of underage sex and whatever else he may have done rather than the bullshit show that we have seen?

I know.
I went to Pizza Express years ago and found it quite downmarket.

He is currently still innocent but there should be zero protection against answering questions and that’s what bugs me more than anything. And that’s purely because of who he is and the people he can afford to advise him.

Plus I’d bet it was his position and wealth that allowed him to develop those questionable associations

As opposed to?

I find it hard to begrudge the Queen a thing, given her magnificent public service for such a prolonged period of time. The changes she’s both seen and overseen in her lifetime are incredible.

She’ll be hugely missed when she goes, maybe not universally, but certainly by me and, I suspect, the vast majority here and outside of the UK.

I was more interested in the fact that article came out just hours after the topic got the TAN treatment.

Coincidence?? I think not. If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge you might be interested in. Great views of Bristol, motivated seller so going cheap.

I think you’re overestimating her appeal outside of the UK.There will be people, and quite a lot who will be saddened when she departs but the vast majority is a huge stretch.

The UK should swap Andy lad for Anne Sacoolas.

Yes, very disappointed in that. I wanted to be described as her personal solicitor, not private solicitor. Journalists!

You’re probably right. Perhaps I should have expressed it as a proportion of those who give a shit either way! The vast majority probably couldn’t/wouldn’t give a fuck.

The US wouldn’t make that trade, I would though
