Imagine the state of Liverpool if we had never been part of the EU. Vast majority of the work to rebuild the city was done with European money - or as some Brexiters would say “Our money”.

Does anyone really believe that Westminster would have approved a fraction of the money spent here? Not a chance.

I wish Burnham was our PM right now.

I find it a bit ironic that having misinterpreted my post and taken it completely out of context you advise me to do some research! Perhaps if you bothered to research the Libyan war you would come to similar conclusions - this is not about “sodding emails” it is about policy that she formulated, instigated and championed. The repercussions of which are felt daily throughout the EU and Britain. That is why this is so relevant to British politics.

The actions that Clinton demanded have resulted in probably the greatest avoidable human suffering of the 21st Century. And remember Biden went along with this action. And she certainly did not “calmly step aside” for Trump.

Finally just because somebody disagrees with the politics of Clinton Corbyn or Kinnock does not automatically mean they support Trump, Johnston or Thatcher.

Trump Clinton, Biden Johnston Cameron and on and on - A plague on all their houses.

Not everything can be reduced to an immediate knee jerk soundbite full of supposition falsehoods and innuendo. So here are some links for you. There are dozens if you bother to look.

@BigJon this is for you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Spring#Libya_(2011)

Listening to the radio the other day and Johnsons popularity came up along with a glorious list of people, and places he’s fallen out with in his short time as PM

Scotland,
Wales,
London,
Manchester,
Liverpool,
Northern Ireland
probably Southern Ireland as well
The EU
Parts of the US congress / parliament
Care Homes
NHS
Haulliers
I’m waiting for the fishermen

Trying to think of anyone else. Is there anywhere left?

He’s given up. He got what he always wanted - his name on the Eton wall of Prime Minister Old Boys.

But it’s too much like hard work, this running the country lark.

Possibly, I just think he has this underlying trait to pick a fight with whoever is in front of him. He cant hold any kind of relationship (professional or otherwise) together. Yesterday with Manchester was another prime example of it. Nothing gained from walking away like that. Doesn’t matter what’s right or wrong. Just don’t compromise, always right, doesn’t matter how daft it is.

Like Trump, Johnson’s end game was to rule the country. He never came into it with ambitions of doing anything once he got here, except improving the networth of his buddies that he hopes hell get a kickback on once he’s out of office.

abstaining on the reunification of families now is it

That suggests he had some degree of forethought. I find that incredibly generous of you.

i assume you mean Labour? That seems to be what they do when the government proposes anything half way sensible. They just let them have it. A free shot on goal if you like.

Just heard a good interview with Mark Drayford (Welsh First Minister) where the attached below was discussed but also his approach to the impending full circuit breaker lockdown. His honesty was quite stark where he was saying that the lockdown was not the end game, only another step in the process. He was completely honest is stating that the plan for this is to purely to get Wales and the health services to Christmas. That’s the plan and the sole aim of the lockdown.

I was honestly impressed by his honesty.

Quite consistent with the recent WHO statement on lockdowns, which has been happily misinterpreted as ‘WHO is against lockdowns’. THey more or less said they should not be the first policy instrument, they cannot be the basis of a real strategy, but have a role when all other instruments have been overwhelmed and the situation is out of control. The situation in the UK appears to be out of control.

Completely I feel. He has given me a glimmer of faith to be fair. Someone who is listening and acting proactively, all be it in a world where your bigger neighbour is acting like a completely brainless numpty.

England I feel is in real trouble. The way it’s going every area will at some point end up in Tier 3 lockdown and that will probably still not stem the “baked in” (fantastic term) increases in infections and hospitalisations. Where do you go from there? It’s all reactive.
