I’d just put him on hold - then go for a walk.

If he is trying to go behind someones back and negotiate with individual leaders in the EU, then he should know that this would be unacceptable. The negotiations are serious but must be transparent for all parties.

From David Allan Green. He is very knowledgeable about Brext and I find him a good source. Haven’t read him for ages and eons. I should start again now. Just read this article.

Right! can you tell me who is David Henig?
What is ECIPE?
What is a THINK TANK?

 oh! sorry :scream:

You’re right of course. I just never thought I’d ever see the words ‘serious’ and ‘transparent’ in the context of an Ursula von der Leyen vs Boris Johnson meeting.

One theory doing the rounds on Brexit is that the reason why the Germans are upset is because they have been left to deal with the French alone.

Does anyone really know if the current position is really a carefully choreographed act by Johnston and the tories to deliver the no-deal that the big donors and ERG want while looking like (badly) they’re trying. Or is it just a bumbling incompetent drunken attempt to wing it to some kind of deal. I genuinely don’t know but suspect that given the lack of preparedness of the UK for the no-deal option along with Johnston’s track record, it might be the latter. Either way its a bit disgraceful, and i feel a bit sorry for the ordinary working class and business people in the UK who have been led to this for a blue passport and not much else. Like a comfortable sleeping child being dragged from his bed bleary eyed cause his da lost the house in a drunken poker game during the night.

Whadya mean no preparation, there are signs on all the motorways…otherwise, a no deal was a fait accompli in my mind.

I read yesterday that the NI protocol means that whatever the outcome, no tarriffs on EU goods coming here. French wine will be much the same price as ever. Well done Boris and the DUP :ok_hand:

From exit to no deal to war in 4 years is sooo stupid, we at least deserve some foreplay.

I mean, going to war over a fish is becoming silly now.
We are looking like right idiots in front of the world.

Countries have gone to war for less. But let’s be real, we’re not going to war. And it’s not just the UK that’s looking idiotic.

In answer to my previous post, it’s got nothing to do with anything but…sure, make it about someone’s ethnicity.

That must be a relief for you guys in NI. At least something positive has come out of the NI agreement.
