One by definition is closer to my views. Listening to Starmer now, who’d have thought I’d listen to key speeches by the opposition. Doesn’t believe that hard work gets you anywhere these days. Anybody wonder why I don’t like him?

But that also assume that people are actually responsive to how a party’s policies change what it means to them/the country over time rather than just leaning on “vibes” (Tory’s are good for business). I am very skeptical about this.

Why would they not have? 99% of the population would be in a much better place now if he was PM. Tabloid owners and hedge fund managers wouldn’t be happy though

He’s shown post-election he isn’t fit for office (like the two Tory PMs since). And @Klopptimist, don’t see @WeeJoe 's post as an opportunity to change the subject.

I’d give up on football altogether
On the BBC politics programme at lunchtime 2 labour politicians were on the same panel as their politics correspondent and enjoying the craic.
I will be generous and say he has to be pragmatic…no doubt the red wall read the red tops.
As I never read the red tops and obviously never THAT paper, how the fuck do you Labour voters reconcile voting for a contributor??? Now this one is absolutely new to me. Hypocrisy might be far too gentle a word. Is it actually true that Starmer writes for the star in our solar system?
Think it’ll be almost impossible to vote for anyone viable if that is a veto-worthy factor.

This is what my money is on, for what it’s worth now by. Shrink the state to an unsustainable level, maybe even an aggressive privatisation push (even if it’s unaffordable).
This goes to the point of politicians trying too hard to fit in and spout sound bites that might resonate with some of the voters and colleagues - train wreck of a situation at the worst possible time.
Completely racist and completely out of touch - who to vote for!
