Can I point out that that was a joke please? Thanks.
It doesn’t say whether they were admitted because of covid or whether that was simply from standard screening. It does indicate that the incidence is increasing, though. There seem to be a similar increase in other countries too. Hopefully the booster programmes will have targetted those most at risk.

I listened to a guy on the radio once who said his BREXIT vote was so we could send all those (how should I phrase this?) people from a country which exposed it’s inhabitance to high levels of UVA and UVB thus causing them to have higher level of melanin in their system back to “their own” countries. Was a truly shocking thing to hear. Not just the racism but the blatant lack of understanding.

I’ve just checked the RKI figures in Germany and they are estimating 1.3 for the R. Intensive care bed occupancy up to 4% from 3.2% last week (25% increase). Incredible what a difference a week can make at this time of year.
