@Klopptimist likely has his reasons for voting Tory. I’ll freely admit I voted for Corbyn in 2019 even though I thought he was a brain-dead, fence-sitting idiot, because the Lib-Dems have no presence in my constituency (very heavy pro-Brexit Tory) so my vote was ‘anyone-but-Tory’ and whichever party was the better chance. There are surely ‘anyone-but-Labour’ voters out there as well.
What about the rest of the tax cuts, which are far larger in sum than that top bracket thing they just abandoned. Are they still trying to push them through?
I think the issue is that Truss has dropped her plan for C4 and other things that was going to let happen. Truss was supposed to be the continuity candidate.
I wouldnt be surprised if this is part of the get Boris back in power plan…
